Oh One More...

Jen sent me her address late, so I was searching around for a postcard for her when I came across this:

It's one of the cards she and I made freshman year at Holy Cross. Excellent times. Fantastic times.

Song of the Moment

Belle & Sebastian: The Boy Done Wrong Again
I would post a link but I couldn't find it anywhere on the internet. It's just so rare and dangerous. I've been feeling rather manic today (that's why I've done like 3 posts) so it seems like every song is the song of the moment. Bam! Oh I have located a download link:

I think it's a RAR file, so you just need WinZip to unzip it. Or some shit like that. Scratch that, it's an mp3, so no problems.

Anyway, what I was saying was that every song seems like THE BEST right now because I feel so happy. Which reminds me of a Stones line, of course:
Make every song you sing
Your favorite tune
My calves hurt, as usual. I've discovered that my calves actually just get sore from me living normal life. I haven't exercised in ages, so there's no threat there. The most I ever do is walk to work, and I would think my calves would be used to that since I've been doing it for like six months. No, my frail bird legs get injured from normal day-to-day activities.
Speaking of frail bird legs, the boys would always tease me about them and I would say something along the lines of this:
No, my legs are strong, you couldn't put me in that closet! I have frail bird ARMS.
And Nick would say,
Birds don't have arms.
And the point of this story is that I found a postcard with a picture of a bird...with arms. So that's being shipped off to Nicholas soon.

What are the odds? Some other good postcards I'm sending...
This one is to Sean Patrick. I feel like he and I combined equal this child.

This is La and I waiting for a bus to...we'll never tell.

This one says on the inside: "One could survive on the taste of sadness for years..." and it's for Sam.

This one is for Cait because she looks like the little girl and I can imagine that she made a sign like this before.

My favorite, which goes to Ben.

This is the standard "Happy New Year!" card that is going out to all who don't appreciate unusual postcards.

And there they are! I used my new stamp. <3 Rubber Stamps <3

And FYI, these postcards can be found here:

and here:

and the New Year's cards are from the Princeton University Art Museum Store. Which everyone should visit on Thursdays, Fridays, or Saturdays. Except for this week, for I am on vacation.

SUPER DAY!

My Best Friend

I was so behind in my email that I missed an AMAZING email from my best friend, Zekey. It said, "1234567890." I miss him terribly, I was his nanny for 3 years. Soo here's a little recap of our life together:

Our first day together, 2007.
2008, adorable.
On Saint Patrick's Day in 2009.
2010. He was fascinated with my printer.
Last time I saw him :( in October.

I miss him!

Laura's Scarf

Lately...

  • I've been slacking at work. Showing up late, leaving early, etc. I got in a bit of trouble today, and it was a wakeup call so I'm determined to get my lazy ass back on track. Good luck to me!
  • I've been writing new year's cards. Expect yours soon!
  • I've been spending huge amounts of money. That's not lately, that's always, but I have to great unattainable new year's resolutions to save money in 2011.
  • I've been crocheting like crazy! Too much fun to handle. I finally finished Laura's scarf, and her Christmas presents arrived today, and I can't wait to see her.
That's all for now!

The Long Island Sound!

I've been smoking a lot less cigarettes the past two days because it's torture to go outside. It's sooo windy, the house seems like it's going to crack. In the bathrooms the toilet bowl water is moving as if we were on a boat. But it's lovely to be snowed in, I've just been crafting all day! I'm working on Katie's bag right now and a cute little pencil case. I miss my Groop!

Connie's Cowl

I finished Connie's present!

Cigarette Garden

Soo I was just outside having a cigarette and I guess it's been a windy night, because my backyard is littered with cigarette butts and empty packs. A little "cigarette garden." Delightful! I'll be cleaning that up soon.
I got my room half cleaned up and I located my piece of crap digital camera, so tomorrow I will post pictures of my Christmas crochet projects.
I did pretty well with gifts this year. I just ordered my last gift, a car mp3 player for the boy. His cd player in his car is broken and the radio drives him nuts, which in turn drives me nuts, so it's really a gift for both of us. It was pretty cheap on Amazon, but I had to pay for overnight shipping to get it in time for Christmas which was a hefty amount. Last minute shopping is truly a bitch.
Last night I went out to eat to a fancy Italian restaurant with the boy and his friends. I was having a lovely time, but I ended up having a SPECTACULAR time when Jacqui showed up. I'm trying to hook her up with one of Andrew's friends. After dinner Jacqui and I and the two boys went back to Andrew's house and watched a movie called "Ice Cream Man." Classic. Here's a little photo illustrating the general plot of the movie:

That's all for now folks!

Uptight All Night

Okay, so I stayed up all night and only got two mix tapes done. Fail. I don't work until ten so I still have some time left. I must finish!
So while I was not working on my mix tapes, I was crocheting. I'm working on so many things right now, but the past few hours I've been working on a scarf for my dad and a cowl for my co-worker Connie. They're both turning out nicely, I think.
Back to work!

MESS, dirty dirty mess!

This is what my room looks like right now. This is what I am living in! FILTH! And my brain is even messier. I've been doing a lot of crocheting for Christmas gifts and I'd like to post some pictures but my camera is lost somewhere in this mess. I took this picture with the iSight camera, but that won't do for my crafty photos. Only for messy room photos.
Christmas is next week and I still haven't sent out my mix tapes. Nobody is going to want to listen to Christmas music after Christmas, so I think I best stay up all night and finish them tonight.
